This is my personal 2-hour tactic to get anyone to look more shredded. What’s going on brother? There are plenty of ways to really dial in for that one particular event, but this is one of the most common ways that a lot of Hollywood actors or even guys who are into photo shooting, this is exact what they do. Now one of the most important things that they have to do and this is part of their prep week. It doesn’t have to be bodybuilding, because it can be for anybody.
They try to pull out as much subcutaneous water as much as they can under the skin to look even more shredded. So when you do that, when you pull water out of your body as much as you can the day before a photo shoot, an event or a roll or a movie or a film, TV show, whatever it is, to where they try to capture that one moment, that one moment they really want you to look good.
Ok, what that does is this - it’s pretty freaking awesome because it gives us the illusion of having a much lower body fat. Now, yes, it’s temporary, but who cares? When somebody takes that picture of you, it’s for a life time, when they are filming you it’s for a life time, and a lot of guys do this, a lot of YouTubers, that’s why they have, you know, one video a week, so they can get to prepare for every single time, or the actors who do this or the models who do this.
They do this a lot to give us that perception of oh my God, this guy is like single digit body fat, even though the day before, or even that still the same exact day, they are not really into that single digit body fat, they just look like they are in the single digit body fat. They are simply doing a water cut procedure to give them that illusion of being in the single digit body fat. When it comes to this illusion, because that’s what it is, it really is an illusion.
It works, it’s awesome, it’s like a David Blaine magic trick, it gives you that perception, like, how did this guy do this? It’s like a freakin magic trick to where he looked like a normal guy the day before, but within a couple of hours, are you freakin kidding me? He looks freakin ridiculously shredded, veins are popping out, the abs are a lot more defined, it’s insane how much a simple - well it’s not really simple, you know.
When it comes to the actual image of it, the aesthetics of it, even though it's a bulking agent, it doesn't aromatize, but I'll get to that in a minute when it comes to the post cycle therapy stuff, it doesn't aromatize.

One of the actors who completely admitted to it, which is awesome, I love that he did talk about it, was Henry Cavill, the Superman guy. He did it on one of the scenes in The Witcher, it was like a bathtub scene, he looked freaking ridiculous. I am talking about, you could literally see the separation of his deltoids, the separation where his deltoids end, and where his triceps begin, same thing for his biceps.
It looked freaking phenomenal. Now, he does not look like that all year round, he doesn’t even look like that 8 hours later. But within that one particular scene where they are filming it, they’re right there taking every single action of it, it’s worth it, it’s absolutely worth it, because he looks good in that time of frame, but yet, anybody who watches that TV show, they get to see it over and over again, it’s timeless.
Now, when it comes to this particular water cut procedure, there are tons of ways doing it right, there’s different reasons for it as well. A lot of the wrestlers do it, a lot of jiu jitsu guys do it as well. For example, a lot of UFC fighters, I’m sure some of you guys are into the UFC stuff, and you’ve seen them do it a water cut. There are many, many different ways of doing it.
But my personal way of doing it is I have three phases in between it, it is pretty complicated, so I’m gonna cover them in another topic. So just one thing in mind, any time you see a guy who’s taking a picture for a certain photo shoot and you try to gage of how much body fat he has, it’s really not one, it’s a good indicator, don’t get me wrong it’s a good indicator, but we have to keep in mind though when that guy does a water cut.
It’s gonna give us the perception that he is lower. For example, if a guy is sitting around 13, 14% body fat, if he does his water cut procedure right, really pulls out that water and also at the same time, this is little bit part of my personal water cut procedure, takes in a lot of dry carbs a couple of hours before he does that photo shoot, it’s gonna make him look like from 13, 14% body fat.
But within that water cut procedure, when they take that picture, it is gonna make him look like he is in the 8, 9%. Do you see how powerful that is, being able to go from that illusion of going from a higher percentage body fat, not high but relatively high, but yet able to make it look like you are in the single digit body fat, that is freaking powerful.
So some of you guys are probably asking, because some of guys have never heard about this before, what’s the purpose of doing that, I don’t understand why? I mean wouldn’t you want to do a permanent change, why can’t I just do a water cut procedure every single day, every single week? Because when you do this kind of procedure, it takes a lot of toll within your body.
But by the time I am done with all three sections of my personal water cut procedure, dude I am exhausted. For example when I do the phase 1 of my water cut procedure, I got to take at least 30 to 40 minute break. Second part, I got to do an hour break. By the time I’m done with my third section, the rest of my day I’m done, I’m literally just like barely hanging on, because I am barely working with any energy.
By the time I’m done with phase three, I have no energy, I have no drive, I literally have no social energy to talk to anybody at all. That’s how it is, but is it worth it? Of course, if it means that I have to suffer for one day to make that moment, that scene, that photo shoot look freakin phenomenal, and I get to keep that forever, of course, absolutely. For the guys who are in to MMA, UFC and stuff like that, I’m sure you can comprehend how exhausted those guys can be.
Anybody, any fighter that you see drop 15 pounds or even something extreme as 18 pounds, when they are actually performing to actually fight, like a real freaking fight, they’re not at a 100%, they are not even at 80. They need to finish that round and that fight within that first round or they are gassed out. That’s how devastating this is when it comes to the endurance, the energy, anything like that.
Because literally depleting your body out of something that it needs. So is this dangerous? Not really, as long as I monitor myself, somebody else is watching me the entire time, I am getting result. Now, remember, my personal water cut procedure is not for performance, I did not do this when I was grappling, I did not do this when I was doing MMA, because if I take it to this type of extreme I would gas out like the first 30 seconds.
Just holding up my arms, just holding up my arms, let alone trying to hold somebody down, I can’t, I can’t, I would instantly gas out. I won’t have the energy to even think of, you know, how to fight this guy, like my personal fight IQ would be down to zero. I’ll just stand there, I don’t know what to right now, I can’t really think.
It’s crazy how much water dictates the way we think, if I don’t drink enough water, it’s really hard for me to comprehend a certain situation, it’s hard for me to take in information, and at the same time to really take action on the information that I am getting in. But when you are doing photo shoot, when you are doing a movie, all you got to do is remember your lines. For example a photo shoot, I’m just standing there, am I done yet, ok.
Now I can drink water, ok good, thank God. So that’s what comes to. But the soul purpose of the water cut procedure of how the actors do it, YouTubers do it as well, ok, is just to look good in front of the camera for that one moment, but it is a very powerful tool. But just to keep this in mind because I don’t want us to think oh, this guy did the water cut procedure, no, we actually have to do work to get closer to that single digit body fat to look good.
So I don’t want us to demean anybody’s hard work, oh, he just did a water cut procedure, anybody can do this. No, we can’t, you can’t take a guy from 30% body fat to make him look like a single digit, no, it doesn’t work that way, it’s not a miracle drug or cure or anything like that.
The most I have ever cut personally myself was 12 pounds, and when I did that, dude, I was gassed, I was absolutely gassed, I didn’t even eat fruit the entire time. Email, right in the description. Other than that boys, Kai here, out. Take care.
