Lifestyle Cycles VS. Contest Prep - PART 2

And even guys who played football before in a competitive team, in a competitive school, any of you guys who have been doing MMA, what's the mentality of that place?

When you go in there, it's like, oh shit, everybody here is a bunch of fucking killers, nobody's here to fuck around.

What's going on brother? My name is Kai, and if you have any questions for me by the way, my email is right below this video. So what am I gonna dive into right now is - this is a follow up video between lifestyle and contest prep, because I think people are just really getting confused between both and I want to make sure that you know the distinction, that there is a difference between lifestyle versus contest prepping.

So when it comes to that man, the one thing that people really need to understand is this - and each pathway, again, this is me not bashing college at all, because I've done that, I've done that plenty of times for grappling, for MMA, and also at the same time for bodybuilding as well. There is nothing wrong with contest prepping at all, both pathways are absolutely awesome.

But in terms of pathway, in terms of lifestyle and the big one, in terms of results, I'm just gonna get a completely different one from lifestyle to contest prepping. That's the one thing that we really need to understand. For example, if I were to contest prep, right, using contest prep compounds, using the lifestyle, the workout, the diet, my result is going to be a lot more peeled, a lot more shredded, and at the same time my result is going to be more of a spike.

I'm going to spike in through my event, I'm going to look peeled, I'm going to look shredded for that one particular day. And in terms of those results, it's going to be drastic. I mean, you're gonna see me going from average looking, pretty decent, pretty good to oh my God, what did you do? Kai, what kind of compounds did you take?

Compared to lifestyle which is a lot more laid back, I'm doing it for a particular goal which I am either bulking or cutting, but at the same time, my result, it's a little bit more different in terms of my pathway along the entire journey is going to be a lot more gradual. Like I'm bulking up, ok, I'm starting to gain a little bit of weight, I am starting to get a little bit of weight, cool, I'm picking up, ok, good, I'm getting a lot more steady of a result.

When it comes to the actual image of it, the aesthetics of it, even though it's a bulking agent, it doesn't aromatize, but I'll get to that in a minute when it comes to the post cycle therapy stuff, it doesn't aromatize.

How To Homebrew and Pin Your Own Gear To Get 21" Arms Plus A Six Pack WITHOUT Risking Gyno or Spending $897 A Cycle!

Compared to say contest prepping if I bulk is going to be more like oh my God, the insulin just kicked in, oh my God, the HGH just kicked in. That's the difference between both.

And then in terms of the end result, in the end result when I'm done with a cutting cycle, in terms of what I'm going to get, it's going to be a lot more manageable in terms of size, but at the same time, the result is not going to be as dramatic compared to say a contest prep. Am I going to look pretty damn defined? Yes. Am I gonna have abs?

Yes. Am I going to have some definition? Absolutely. Absolutely. But because I choose to have the more comfortable lifestyle, I'm not going to get the one day looking badass, looking shredded, looking ridiculously peeled. I'm going to have that more of a comfortable look and a much more defined look as well. And this is where guys are getting confused, because you know, right now I'm doing a cutting cycle.

But when they hear oh, look, Kai is gonna do a cutting cycle, where is his vascularity? Where's his abs looking freakin shredded with the vascularity? Where is his definition of muscles literally separating? That's not what I'm going for. Why?

Because I'm not on DNP, I'm not using Winstrol, I'm not using mTren, I am not using high ends of contest prep type of compounds, let alone the diet, the cardio, the starvation, the water depletion, also at the same exact time going on a huge major caloric deficit. So that's the reason why I'm not going to get that type of result.

But the reason why I'm not doing that, because I don't want to go through those bad sides, I don't want to go through that uncomfortable lifestyle, I want to be able to have fun, still have a respectable physique, and at the same time, I want to be able to have the energy to do my daily stuff. That's the reason why my result isn't going to be as drastic as contest prepping. But the benefits that I'm going to get,.

Again, there is nothing wrong with contest prepping, the benefits that I am going to get though, is I'm able to do other stuff within my life, not just concentrating on that contest prep. I'm able to concentrate on my academics, I'm able to concentrate on my social life, I'm able to concentrate talking to you guys and answer you guys’ emails. Real quick, let me go into the mindset of both pathways.

When I'm contest prepping, I'm in this mindset of accepting being uncomfortable, accepting the bad sides as well, accepting that knowing that because I'm going to be using multiple compounds with multiple esters, guess what's gonna happen? Blood instability. Pretty much I might actually get acne, I might actually get depressed.

I actually go through those things, and also mentally accepting the fact that I'm going to be uncomfortable the entire time. Lack of sleep, sweating profusely like crazy, because I'm on high ends of Tren and DNP at the same exact time. Timing my insulin, pretty much because of that one event that I need to, I need to look good, not only that, I need to be relevant in that contest.

Because look, if I'm going to do a contest prep man, I'm not going to go in there to oh, I'm just here for the experience, I'm just here to see what it's about. Hi, guys. Oh, that's so... No, when I'm contest prepping, because I'm putting so much time and effort into it, I'm looking to fucking win. I'm not going there to do whatever.

So if I have that win mentality, any of you guys who played football before in a competitive team, in a competitive school, any of you guys who have been doing MMA, what's the mentality of that place? When you go in there, it's like, oh, shit, everybody here's a bunch of fucking killers, nobody's here to fuck around.

So the moment I go into the contest prep, I am in that mindset of accepting the good end result. But during my entire journey, I'm there to accept being uncomfortable, the bad sides, and literally just going to do whatever I need to do to get that event done. In terms of organization, I'm putting all my efforts into that one contest prep.

I don't have time to mess around with my friends. I don't have time to mess around and please my girl. I don't have time to do any of that stuff. Why? Because that is my fight, that is my prep, that is my event, that's my contest, that's the one thing that I'm going to get that thing done. That is literally my focus for that entire cycle.

That's it. That's the only thing I'm doing. Because if I'm doing a caloric deficit on a really, really restricted diet, I'm not gonna have the energy to do anything else other than that particular event, because that's what I need to do in order to win, in order to be relevant, in order to even place top three.

Now to really dive into contest prepping, which is awesome by the way, the guys that you see, it doesn't have to be IFBB pros either, it could be NPC, it could be an amateur league, the guys who are doing that, to remind everybody, they don't look like that all year round. Because it's impossible, just to comprehend this, can we water deplete the entire time? No, we can't, we will freakin keel over and die.

Can I do some kind of contest prep every single time? No, I can't. It's literally physically impossible to do so. So the guys that you see that looks peeled and shredded, either NPC amateur or IFBB Pro, they do not look like that the entire year. They're literally, even for IFBB pros, there's some guys out there, pretty much the top three, Phil Heath, Brandon Currie ,they're not even doing any other competition other then Mr.

Olympia. Some guys choose to do the Arnold classics, and then they do the Olympia as well. Some guys are so focused, they're literally just spiking, and literally preparing just for Mr. Olympia and that's it. Not only that they don't have time to do anything else, any other hobbies, they don't even have time to do other multiple contests as well. They're literally spiking and event planning just for that one contest.

As for me, I'm not willing to go through those sides or being uncomfortable, I'm willing to live a much more comfortable life. Now. That's not an excuse to be a lazy asshole on my end either. Because I have much more energy, I have much more brain power, because I have a lot higher glycogen levels. I'm going to use this energy to propel through my academics, to get better, for self-development, to get into other hobbies, to work on my social skills, to work on my other skills that I want to do stuff on.

So those are the things that I'm going to do. I'm not just going to be oh, because I'm comfortable, I'm going to be a lazy asshole about it either. I am now going to use this energy to have badass meetings with Tyler, to do other stuff, to do more things. That's what I'm using my energy for. Now, if I choose to compete, I can easily do that, because here's the thing. I homebrew my own Gear, I make my own Gear in my very own kitchen.

So if I choose to contest prep, it doesn't even have to be a contest either. If there is a particular Vegas event that I want to go to, a beach day, an awesome get together that I want to look good for, I have access to all the Gear, I can easily contest prep for that particular day to look freakin amazing, just for that one particular event. Anyways guys, email right below this video. Other than that, Kai here, out. Take care.
