Whenever I first started doing Gear, it was just Test, right, and you would think that'd be an easy adaptation to my body, which it was, except for the sleep part. Every time I'll go to sleep, for people who don't know, my very first cycle was Test enanthate, and it came in with a huge lifestyle adaptation, especially on the sleep department.
It was awesome, don't get me wrong, my very first cycle I only need about five, six hours of sleep, and I was ready to go the very next day. The only part of it though, that I was so energetic the entire time, especially the first couple of weeks, it was hard for me to go to bed. I'll be hyper aware of all my surroundings, right?
I would be watching TV because I had so much energy, I'd be watching a documentary, go back on my computer, get on my phone, I'll watch everything. And then even though I would fall asleep, because I was so hyper aware, I would notice the little light pollution that I would have emitting out of, you know, my TV, my computer, my phone, my laptop, my other computer, it was just ridiculous.
So if I had to do it again, this is what I would tell myself to guarantee a nice rest, especially if it's my very first Test enanthate cycle. Because if we don't know by now, sleep is extremely important, even though I recover a lot faster.
I still need to sleep for function, cognitive abilities, for me to be able to think, for me to be able to grow as well, because sleep is the only time that I would actually grow. I could take all of the anabolic the world, all the food in the world, I could be dead lifting, bench pressing as heavy as I can, but if I'm not sleeping, I am not growing.
So that's why to me, it's very important for me to go to sleep in a good state, and at the same time, this is the hacks that I would do if I had to do all my experience all over again. Because this is what I do now to guarantee having a nice restful sleep.
When it comes to the actual image of it, the aesthetics of it, even though it's a bulking agent, it doesn't aromatize, but I'll get to that in a minute when it comes to the post cycle therapy stuff, it doesn't aromatize.

And that's the very first thing that I would buy as well, especially if I'm doing my very first Test E cycle. First thing about blackout currents is the fact that you're literally able to block everything out, right, because here's the thing, if you live in a city, just because it's nighttime doesn't mean there's no lights outside, you can still see light emitting through our window.
That's the whole point of blackout curtains, it literally blacks out everything. And you know, you would think that's obvious, right? But it's not obvious when it comes to common practice. I don't even think of getting blackout curtains in my very first cycle, let alone my go-to was ok, I need to take a sleeping pill.
No, we need to, or at least I needed to do everything I can first within my environment, within my surroundings. And the very first one is buying blackout curtains. It's pretty cheap, especially on Amazon. And that's the first thing I would do to guarantee that there's no light coming through, even at nighttime.
From the light pollution that's outside, from the cars driving by, from the little lights emitting out of weird random stuff. I am not talking UFOs, I am talking about your neighborhood lights, right? Because sometimes they have those automatic, oh my God.
I can't stand it. But here's the thing, my neighbor, my neighbor has these lights that comes on every time it senses something outside. It could be UFOs, right? Maybe that's his weird thing that he's afraid of. But dude, it's just ducks, it's just raccoons, it is just weird critters outside.
But every time something passes by, it would, boom, big huge lights, right outside, emitting right through my window. But because of the blackout curtains, I don't even notice anymore. That's how awesome it is when it comes to that stuff.
I don't have to worry about that stuff, like oh my God, it's too early in the morning, it's my Sunday off, I want to sleep a little bit later. When it comes to blackout curtains, I don't know what time it is. That's how amazing it is.
The next one, black tape, get yourself black tape and cover any small little annoying lights that could be emitting. The thing that really got me was the small little blips that would come out of my laptop, out of my PC, my TV, my router, the small little lights that I could just see it.
Now, for some people, it doesn't bother them because they are that exhausted. But to me, I don't want to get to the point to where I'm so exhausted, I could fall asleep to those small annoying lights. I want to guarantee that when I am ready to go to bed, when I turn off the TV, put everything off.
I want to make sure that inside my room, where I'm going to sleep, everything is as pitch black as possible. I mean, I'm talking about dark, I am talking about it looks like I am trying to summon the damn demon right into my door.
And by the way, just to let you know, those small, little annoying lights, they do affect you. You may not know it or not, you might be well I slept through it - you may sleep through it, but the quality of sleep that you're getting is not as great as to where you block everything out. I promise you, it makes a huge difference.
And it's as simple as buying black electrical tape. It's like $1 something at Home Depot or Lowes, cut small pieces out of it and just black everything out. The next one is this, your phone right here. It could just take one email, one call, one message - after that, I now awake for the next two or three hours, trying to go back to sleep.
Now I have to go, out drink tea, make myself busy for a little bit until I fall back asleep. The one thing that I didn't realize with doing this is putting my phone on airplane mode. The alarm will still work, you know, all the basic functions will still work, but if anybody tried to reach me on my phone, at like two o'clock in the morning.
I'm not going to get unless of course they are under my emergency contact list. Those are the only people that I put in my phone to where if they really need to reach out to me at two o'clock in the morning, I will still get the notifications out of it. So yeah, grab your phone right before you go to bed, airplane mode, boom, done.
So that one annoying text message that could wake you up, you don't have to worry about that either. To me, it all relates back to that peace of mind knowing that once I'm in bed, I'm not going to be disturbed, I'm not gonna be woken up in the middle of the night. I gotta do all these things now to go back to bed.
And then after that we could use the supplements that helps us go to bed. Right? I use CBD oil. I use melatonin. I use NyQuil, then, by time I need to use those, that's where I'm really having a hard time to sleep. But as long as I do all the other stuff that I mentioned before.
I most likely don't ever need to use, you know, melatonin, or CBD oil or NyQuil or Tylenol, PM or any of that stuff. Am I going to go and use it? No. If I really need to use it, yeah, sure, why not? The more important ones is everything I mentioned. The blackout curtains, turning off my phone into airplane mode, make sure I tape out everything that's emitting all these small little lights.
If you do this, I promise you, your quality of sleep is going to be so much better, even if we're already on Test enanthate and we already recover after four, five, six hours of sleep, this will make our quality of sleep a whole lot better.
If you have personal hacks by the way of how you sleep at night, I don't care if it's meditation, or a new device or a new thing that you have figured out, let me know, let me know, because I also want to implement that to my regular lifestyle as well.
