Today, we're gonna find out right now which type of motivation you're going to need, in order for you to hit any goals you're looking to do. What's going on brother? So for everybody out there, in terms of trying to hit our goals, we need a different type of motivation, we all need some kind of thing, some kind of force, some kind of motivational speech.

A movie, whatever it is, even a quote, to really help us go over through these rough times to hit a goal, something that's truly difficult, we need somebody to push us over, a movie, something to really like help us, give us some kind of incentive to really get over that. Now, in terms of most people's motivation, is within ourselves, right?

It's what we tell ourselves what we need to do, how to accomplish a certain task, it's pretty much how we talk to ourselves. Now here's the thing that not a lot of people tend to do, they don't really try to see what type of motivation they need, in order for them to give us that extra energy to really accomplish that goal, right?

For example, a lot of guys just truly believe they need some type of positive reinforcement. You can do it, get this done, come on, if you do this, you have so many things to look forward to, after that you're going to get rewarded. But sometimes that may not work. Take for example, for me, any type of physical tasks.

All of the times where I took grappling classes, MMA classes, striking classes, majority of the type of motivation that I got was complete negative reinforcements. A lot of my coaches had to tell me, shut the fuck up, go do this right now, you know what, you need to do this, or we're not leaving, you need to finish your laps, you need to do this, you need to do that, or else you are not done for the day. 

During that time, when I was going through all this, I thought, man fuck, this sucks. But here's the thing, I would still do it, I would still get my stuff and I would still run that mile, I would still do whatever I need to do, I would still need to drill and practice, whatever I have to do for the goals that I was trying to hit.

When it comes to the actual image of it, the aesthetics of it, even though it's a bulking agent, it doesn't aromatize, but I'll get to that in a minute when it comes to the post cycle therapy stuff, it doesn't aromatize.

So here's the thing - it took me a very long time, because the entire time I was pretty bad. I was like, why are they talking to me like this?

It took me a long time to figure out the other things that they tried to do, which is the positivity reinforcement, Kai, come on, you got this, stop, you know, stop complaining, you really got, I know you could do this. Every time they did that for me. I didn't listen at all. So after a while, they started to figure out this guy needs negative reinforcements.

He literally needs to be told shut the fuck up and do this or else I would never do it in the first place. So that's how I started figuring out oh, my God, I literally need to be told what to do, give a set of instructions in a harsh manner, in order for me to perform those tasks. That's the one thing that it took me a while to understand, while the entire time bitching about it as well. 

Now, the other part of it is too, you may not need negative reinforcements the entire time for a certain activity. For example, if I were trying to do a lot of office work stuff, stuff that I need to do right now, in that manner, I truly need positive reinforcement. And that's when Tyler really comes in for me, Kai, dude come on, really, really you feel like you need to take a nap right now? Dude, finish this out, we'll grab Starbucks, finish this out, we'll go grab your Chipotle, whatever you need to do. 

If you do this right now, we'll all go get lunch. And I was like, oh, fuck yeah, let's do that right now. So that's the type of motivation that I, it took me a long time to figure out. When it comes to the physical performance part, somebody really needs to tell me do this, or you're not going home, do this, I'm gonna bitch at you the entire time. And then in terms of like, say, the performance stuff, the stuff that I need to do, like emails, all of that stuff, I need more of a positive reinforcement in order for me to accomplish those goals.

So that's what I want you to start doing. Try to figure out what type of motivation do you need for certain activities and try out both, you may not need the negative reinforcements to work out or finish some kind of physical, hard labor or you need the opposite when it comes to say office stuff, you might not need the positive reinforcement, you may need the opposite. 

So try every single type of motivation you need. Don't limit yourself to the good vibes and the happy stuff, you might need that extra push, that extra punch, that extra somebody's grabbing you by the shirt and say, hey, you need to get this done right now or you're not fucking leaving. So you need to tell yourself that, that you may need those type of negative reinforcements or positive, whichever it may be, but explore all pathways. 

The moment you figure it out, oh man, you are just gonna breeze on by. Any tasks that you have, the moment you tell yourself the right type of motivation, you're gonna be able to glide right through it, finish your day. And at the end, this is the best part that we all are very familiar with, knowing that you've earned your weekend, you've earned your day, you've earned sitting down, watching your Sunday football and enjoying the rest of your day.
